1.2 Sermon Content

When you use SermonEase, you may submit sermon-related content, including:

  • Sermon transcripts

  • Generated summaries

  • Scripture references
  • Newsletter snippets
  • Exported sermon content

If audio upload is enabled, you may also upload sermon audio files. Unless otherwise stated, uploaded audio is used to create transcripts and sermon-related outputs.

1.3 Usage Information

We collect information about how you use SermonEase, such as:

  • Pages visited
  • Features used
  • Generation attempts
  • Successful and failed generations
  • Export actions
  • Plan usage
  • Error logs
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address or approximate location data

We use this information to operate the service, prevent abuse, improve performance, and understand product usage.

1.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We may receive limited billing-related information from Stripe, such as:

  • Invoice or transaction metadata

Stripe's use of payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy and terms.

We use email providers such as Resend to send account, verification, password reset, billing, and service-related messages.

  • Authenticate users
  • Save generated sermon records to your library
  • Enforce plan limits and usage limits

  • Improve the quality, reliability, and safety of the service
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, spam, fraud, or security risks

We do not use your sermon content to publicly train AI models.

3. AI Processing

SermonEase uses third-party AI providers to process sermon transcripts and generate requested outputs.

When you submit sermon content, the content may be sent to an AI provider solely to provide the requested feature, such as generating a summary, discussion questions, key takeaways, scripture references, or a newsletter snippet.

We instruct our systems to summarize and repurpose only the content you provide. SermonEase is not intended to replace pastoral judgment, theological review, or editorial review.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before publishing or sharing them.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate SermonEase, including:

  • Hosting providers
  • Database providers
  • AI model providers
  • Payment processors
  • Email delivery providers
  • Analytics or logging providers
  • Security and abuse-prevention tools

These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with law
  • Respond to legal process
  • Protect our rights, users, or the public

5. Sermon Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the sermon content you submit to SermonEase.

By submitting content, you grant SermonEase a limited right to process that content only to provide the service, including generating outputs, saving records to your account, enabling exports, and maintaining service reliability.

We do not claim ownership over your sermons, transcripts, summaries, or generated sermon materials.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

Generated sermon records may remain in your account until you delete them or your account is closed, subject to your plan limits and our retention policies.

For anonymous users, we may store limited excerpts, usage records, and technical logs to prevent abuse and improve reliability. We do not intentionally store full sermon transcripts for anonymous users unless clearly stated.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure service providers.

However, no online service can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for controlling who has access to your account.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
