Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SermonEase, including our website, application, tools, and related services.
By using SermonEase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
SermonEase provides tools that help churches, pastors, ministry teams, and church media teams turn sermon transcripts, audio, and related materials into summaries, discussion questions, key takeaways, newsletter-ready content, and other sermon-related outputs.
SermonEase is a productivity and content repurposing tool. It is not a substitute for pastoral judgment, theological review, legal advice, or professional editorial review.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SermonEase.
If you use SermonEase on behalf of a church, ministry, organization, or company, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization.
3. Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity under your account
- Notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security, abuse, or payment risks.
4. Your Content
“You Content” means sermon transcripts, audio, titles, speaker names, scripture references, generated outputs, and other materials you submit or create using SermonEase.
You retain ownership of Your Content.
By submitting content, you grant SermonEase a limited license to process, store, display, and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the service, operate your account, generate outputs, maintain reliability, and comply with the law.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload or submit Your Content.
5. AI-Generated Outputs
SermonEase uses AI systems to generate summaries, discussion questions, key takeaways, scripture references, newsletter snippets, and other outputs.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your context. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all outputs before publishing, distributing, preaching, teaching, or relying on them.
SermonEase does not guarantee theological accuracy, doctrinal alignment, scripture interpretation accuracy, or suitability for any specific church tradition.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not use SermonEase to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Upload content you do not have the right to use
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Generate or distribute abusive, hateful, harassing, or threatening content
- Send spam or unauthorized messages
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, billing limits, or security controls
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free usage limits
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service
- Upload malware, harmful code, or malicious files
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as reviewed or approved if it has not been reviewed
We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
7. Plans, Billing, and Subscriptions
SermonEase may offer free and paid plans.
Paid plans may include monthly usage limits, export features, library access, transcription minutes, team features, or other plan-specific capabilities.
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method according to the selected plan.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
8. Usage Limits
Plans may include limits such as:
- Sermon generations per month
- Transcription minutes per month
- Export formats
- Library access
- Team seats
- Language support
We may enforce usage limits automatically. Attempting to bypass usage limits may result in suspension or termination.
9. Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription through your billing portal or account settings.
Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the paid billing period, subject to these Terms.
10. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Unless required by law, subscription payments are generally non-refundable after the billing period begins.
11. Availability and Changes
We work to keep SermonEase available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including free features, plan limits, or beta functionality.
12. Third-Party Services
SermonEase may rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, AI providers, payment processors, email delivery providers, and analytics tools.
We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their terms and policies.
13. Intellectual Property
SermonEase, including our software, design, branding, interface, and underlying technology, is owned by SermonEase or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer any part of the service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
14. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation.
15. Disclaimers
SermonEase is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that AI outputs will be accurate, complete, doctrinally appropriate, or suitable for your church or ministry.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SermonEase and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or ministry opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to SermonEase in the 3 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you used only the free service.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SermonEase from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your Content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of law or third-party rights
18. Termination
You may stop using SermonEase at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service, fail to pay fees, or use the service abusively.
Upon termination, some data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country], without regard to conflict of law rules.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [Jurisdiction], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
20. Changes to These Terms
